PLEASE, GOD, NO!

Since drawing this several days ago the Duffer Brothers have addressed this comment and insisted that Stranger Things was not going to become, nor was ever intended to be, anything like Game of Thrones, and thank goodness for that! For me, Stranger Thing's appeal has always been that magical mix of childhood whimsy, a severe '80s hangover, and gooey monsters as a bonus while somehow being simultaneously lighthearted and fun and staggeringly gut-punchy in the feels. While it took a little time for me to get to grips with S4, I believe the Duffer Brothers continue to wield this intoxicating formula to full effect, and I can't wait to see how S5 wraps this story up!

Besides, we already have a Game of Thrones.

Would you look at that! Stranger Things S4 single-handedly forced a self-insert reaction out of me! I feel like I haven't done one of those in a very long time.
